With offices in Riga and Vilnius, the team is rapidly growing and we are looking for an experienced Deputy MLRO to join our team in Vilnius.

About the Role:

As our DMLRO, you will play a critical part in ensuring our AML/CTF and sanctions compliance frameworks are effective, up to date, and tailored to business needs. You will work closely with the MLRO and other teams to ensure regulatory compliance, drive internal investigations, and help build a strong culture of compliance across the organization.

As Deputy MLRO in this role, you will:

  • Support Policy & Controls: Support the development and implementation of AML/CFT and sanctions risk assessment frameworks, policies, and procedures; assist in risk identification, monitoring, and reporting; and provide recommendations to mitigate ML/TF and sanctions evasion risks

  • Manage Risk & Investigations: Manage the escalation process, conduct internal investigations, issue recommendations for high-risk clients, and report AML/CTF-related matters to senior management. Oversee and support sanctions screening system calibration and ensure compliance with EU, UN, and OFAC programs

  • Regulatory Reporting: Act as the main point of contact for law enforcement authorities and regulatory bodies, respond to information requests, and ensure the timely and accurate submission of STRs/SARs

  • Training & Awareness: Supervise the 1st line in their day-to-day duties, provide AML/CTF and sanctions training, support related initiatives, and promote a strong compliance culture within the company

  • Collaboration & Oversight: Work cross-functionally with internal teams, assist in compliance-related hiring, and support the MLRO with ongoing monitoring and ad hoc compliance tasks.

What we’re looking for:

  • Higher education (Law degree preferred)

  • At least 2 years previous experience in AML compliance roles, preferably within a fintech or financial services environment

  • Proven understanding of AML/CTF legislation and regulatory requirements applicable to electronic money institutions

  • Familiarity with a variety of business structures and risk profiles

  • Strong investigation and suspicious activity identification skills

  • Effective research and usage of third-party tools

  • Attention to details and precision in reviewing documentation

  • Critical thinking, decision-making and analytical skills

  • Strong written and verbal skills (both: English and Lithuanian)

  • Strong time management, work organization and multitasking skills 

  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and external regulatory authorities. 

Considerable advantages:

  • Certification such as CAMS or ICA is a strong advantage.
