Licenses and regulation

Clear accountability is part of how we operate. This page sets out which Nexpay entity provides each service, the licence under which it acts, and the authority that supervises it.

Nexpay is a brand under which two separately licensed entities operate: UAB Nexpay and SIA Nexdesk.

Each entity is responsible for a distinct part of the service: fiat payment services are provided by UAB Nexpay, and crypto-asset services by SIA Nexdesk, as set out below.

UAB Nexpay (registration code 304708124), registered address: Žalgirio st. 114, LT-09300 Vilnius, Lithuania, is an authorised Electronic Money Institution (EMI), holding licence No. 18 issued by the Bank of Lithuania. UAB Nexpay is responsible for IBAN issuance, account maintenance, and the processing of fiat payments, under the regulatory supervision of the Bank of Lithuania. UAB Nexpay does not provide crypto-asset services. Funds held with UAB Nexpay are safeguarded in accordance with applicable law. Your funds are not considered a deposit and are not covered by the deposit insurance scheme of the Republic of Lithuania. See the Terms and Conditions of UAB Nexpay.

SIA Nexdesk (registration no. 40203611803), registered address: Mihaila Tāla iela 1, Rīga, LV-1045, Latvia, is a Crypto-Asset Service Provider (CASP), authorised to provide custody and administration of crypto-assets on behalf of the clients, execution of orders for crypto-assets on behalf of the clients, and transfer services for crypto-assets on behalf of the clients (MiCAR licence No. 27-55/2025/10), and a Payment Institution (PI), authorised to provide money remittance services (PI licence No. 27-55/2026/9). SIA Nexdesk is responsible for the execution of OTC orders and related crypto-asset services, under the regulatory supervision of the Bank of Latvia. See the Terms and Conditions of SIA Nexdesk.

When you open an account, your IBAN account and fiat balance are held with UAB Nexpay. When you place an OTC order, your order is handled by SIA Nexdesk. Each entity acts within its own licence and under its own regulator, as described above.
